These new additions to our range of labeling technologies provide researchers with even more flexibility and choice of detection methods for their immunoassay. Our streptavidin and protein A conjugates are produced using our Lightning-Link® bioconjugation technology, therefore providing high quality, stable conjugates for use in your application.

All of our conjugates are freeze-dried so shipping at ambient temperature is not a problem.

Streptavidin conjugates

The streptavidin is covalently conjugated to one of a number of labels including HRP, RPE, Fluorescein and Alkaline Phosphatase.

The streptavidin conjugate binds to a biotinylated antibody. The label bound to the streptavidin then can be used for protein detection (see figure 1. below).

Protein A conjugates

Protein A has a high affinity for binding immunoglobulins, especially IgGs. Signal is produced from the label conjugated to the protein A which is bound to the detection antibody. The figure below demonstrates how a Protein A - Alkaline Phosphatase conjugate is used for protein detection.

Biotin conjugates

Biotinylated BSA [view product]

Biotin, is a small molecule with a MW of 244.3. It can be found in all living cells, and is crucial for a number of biological processes. It is also knows as Vitamin H. Biotin-binding to streptavidin and avidin is resistant to extremes of heat, pH and proteolysis, making capture of biotinylated molecules possible in a wide variety of environments.
